As the activities coordinator of the Mission San Jose AI Club, I am in charge of leading specialized activities like project demonstrations and guest speaker events. Furthermore, I work with the other officers for coordinating events.
During the 2024-2025 school year, as an 8th grader, I led the Computer Applications Club with over 20 students attending every meeting. I covered topics including computer parts, video editing, CAD design, and programming.
NYLT, or National Youth Leadership Training, is one of the highest level of leadership training in the scouting program. Here, I learned about vital skills about how to be a leader, communicate effectively, and guide others. After this 1-week campout program, I accomplished 3 leadership-based goals within my troop, earning my certificate.
I applied skills that I have learned in leadership through troop roles like patrol leader and troop guide. In both cases, I helped scouts in advance in the program and learn new skills needed for survival and safety.
I am on the Communications & Outreach division for the Alameda Country Science and Engineering Fair Student Leadership Board. Our division focuses on online advertising and after-event recaps that ensure that those who are interested are aware of the many ACSEF events.
